Knowhow Transfer

A very important aspect of the whole project is to have a good transfer of the collected know-how to the entire MHP community.

These dissemination activities start as soon as possible by informing the public about the issues which will be dealt with as well as early results in order to reach optimum feedback to the MHP community.

"Guidelines" or "best practice agreements" will be prepared for various types of players in the MHP market such as application developers, broadcasters, decoder manufacturers or broadcast equipment manufacturers. All these guidelines will be made publicly available via this website.

Besides these written publications workshops, seminars and demonstrations will be offered. These broadly designed dissemination actions aim at two goals.

One is to bring the specialised know how as close as possible to the various players in the market who only can make large interoperable markets for digital interactive TV a broad success. Direct contacts with these partners will considerably improve the impact of the projects findings.

Moreover, and this is the second goal, will these direct contacts give feedback to the project itself. This feedback will not only be of interest at the end of the project, but it will be used to control the items and aspects of the MHP usage which will be dealt with in the project itself.

Workshops or on-line training with aspects like: "Everything you always wanted to know about MHP implementation or applications" or "Make a correctly working MHP application" or "Making best use of the knowledge data base of the MHP virtual test centre" will be offered.

For maintaining and evolving the knowledge data base, mechanisms like links to other fora will be developed and established.

Technical demonstrations on the verification of interoperability including demonstrations of initial regular MHP services to the public using MHP devices available in the market will be given (possibly linked to special workshops which may include political, marketing and/or technical issues).

Finally, relevant trade fairs like the IBC will be attended and the project and its findings will be presented there.
